Cars suck----

Yes, they do. My opinion of them will never change. Every car I've owned has given me problems. Now my beau's car is acting up. When will it end? I don't have the money to buy a new one, so my only choice is to repair and reuse. I have three cars in my household currently and they all have something wrong with them- I've already used all of my AAA service calls and they don't renew until March of 2009!! crazzyyy No time to actually update on my life so this will have to do... but 17 until GRADUATION ! ! ! ! !

Live, Laugh, Love

Last night, I drove home in order to help my mom clean out her classroom for the summer (today was the last day of school her, whoo!). Everything went pretty well, it's usually a disaster by June so it takes a lot of man-power but I got what I could done. Anywho, another reason I was coming home was because one of her colleagues was throwing a "birthday party" but instead of it being for one person it was for everyone in the summer months. Great idea huh? Get it all done with in one swoop so there isn't the struggle to get everyone together during the break. So even though my birthday is in June, this party was not for me, it was for my mom and 3 of her friends.

It was an amazing time--- mai tai's, delicious food, presents, cake, and lots of laughter. When I would slip away, I kept thinking, these women are friends because (mostly) of where they work and their general interests in the same things. Their ages, children's ages, marital status, and hobbies all vary greatly but they still make for a great group of amazing women. I was wondering does everyone have this group of friends who they can turn to for a fun time or for comfort when times are down? I have friends, some better than others, some the "best"; I hope that these relationships last "forever" but will they? and what happens when they don't? Will I find new friends? I' m not sure of the answer but I guess that's what the fun is in not knowing your future.

As I write this I am reminded of "Sex and the City", four friends who have each other to confide in, love and have fun with. BUT they are fake, made up, just some characters out of someones mind and they decided to give it a go on T.V. then the silver screen. I don't want to look up to a t.v. show. I want to look up to the people who have guided me in life, some my teachers in elementary school and others I newly met, I saw the real thing tonight, something that I want to have throughout my journey in life.

Other than my new revelation, there is not much else to discuss. My first 1/2 of the summer semester is almost over, which means finals and then a new class is to start after that. I will start therapy on Thursday which I am super excited about so YAY!
p.s. no update on my list ;)

Primo

Primo means "first" in Italian. My first blog, my first time writing where strangers may read, and my first time wanting to do it. I learned that with this new book/cd set that teaches people (me and my beau) to learn Italian. This is really the whole reason I started this blog. I thought it would be a good idea to write down some "summertime goals" and have a much easier time accomplishing them if I knew I had to write about them. Before I dip into the list, here's a little information about myself.

I love to laugh. Many people and their actions inspire me. School is all I know in this point of my life and I love every minute of it. Even though my family has its share (quite a large portion actually) of quirks and mishaps I still can't imagine a day without any of them. I am in love with my high school sweetheart of 7.5 years. There is a rather lengthy list of friends who I wouldn't be able to function without and I'm pretty sure I've let them know how special they are to me. My future is clear but the road getting there is a little foggy right now. I have high hopes that the fog will lift in a few months time. As for everything else, I think it'll come out in future posts.

So here my list of things I would like to accomplish by the end of my summer:
1. Learn to speak Italian, not fluently but good enough for comprehension and conversation.
2. Complete my Bachelors Degree and graduate on August 2.
3. Receive a 'B' or better in my final four classes.
4. Organize my apartment. This includes throwing away/ giving away things I do not need or want and staying organized.
5. Complete my sister's graduation scrapbook. Heck, complete any scrapbook.
6. Scan all of my current photos to digital so they are always with me.
7. Start and stick to a exercise plan.
8. Eat healthier, that shouldn't be hard.
9. Plan a future road trip with my beau.
10. After graduation, find a job that will allow me to learn about my field.
11. Save, save, save money. (new car, bigger place, puppy, grad school, road trip)

So there it is. My List. Things will be added to it and hopefully crossed off as I complete them. Wish me luck and I look forward to starting a new, almost, therapeutic blogging habit.
